The 2025 Morton Cup, Maryland’s amateur state competition established in 2013 to honor Darwin “Lefty” Morton, will feature two standout clubs representing the Maryland League: street footie and Blesssed FC. Known for their dynamic playstyles and passionate fan bases, these clubs will aim to bring the prestigious title to Maryland League. The tournament, set to start January 5, 2025, promises to deliver thrilling matchups as they compete against some of the best teams in Maryland for a chance at state cup glory.
2025 Morton Cup Format
The 2025 Morton Cup will begin with a group stage of four groups, where the top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals. The tournament then moves to a single-elimination format, ending with a final to crown the state champion.
Blesssed FC have been drawn in Group A alongside A3 Highlanders, DMV Starz, and Silver Spring United.
