Hey Maryland soccer fans, Fall 2024 is almost here and we have exciting news and updates to share with you on everything new coming to Maryland League!

Prize Pool Allocation Updates

For the Fall 2024 season, we are making changes to the distribution of the prize money pool. These changes were made to award the champion with more funds.

Accolades for Players and Clubs

This season, we are implementing Accolades for players and clubs to earn during the Fall 2024 season and beyond! Our accolades stand as a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering sportsmanship, nurturing talent, and fostering a vibrant community spirit.

What are Maryland League Accolades?

Accolades are digital badges that are awarded to clubs and players for accomplishing feats or milestones in the league. Head over to the Accolades Guide to discover all the accolades that are up for grabs this Fall!

Enhanced Stats and Score-Keeping

Player profiles will receive a facelift. In addition to showing off the accolades a player has earned, players will be able to see basic stats about their performances – such as appearances, starts, goals scored, assists, and cleansheets as well as disciplinary record-keeping such as yellow cards, red cards and suspensions.

Improved Media Coverage

This Fall 2024, we are implementing new media strategies to ensure complete coverage of Maryland League, its clubs, players, managers, participants and fans.

This includes:

Engaging social media posts
High-quality action photography
Various video camera angles to capture the action from different views
Pre-match, post-match interviews and content
Documentary-style video creation to promote the league and its clubs
Additional livestreamed events
And much more!

Live Updates and Scores αlpha

Towards the second half of the season, we will unveil our new live updates and scores system so that fans can stay connected to the action, even if they cannot make the game in person.

Maryland State Soccer Association Affiliation

We are thrilled to share a landmark achievement for the Maryland League—our official affiliation with the Maryland State Soccer Association!

This new affiliation brings significant benefits to all our clubs, as it makes clubs eligible to participate in state-run competitions, including the prestigious Rowland Cup, Stewart Cup, and Morton Cup.
